As I am sure it is common knowledge to the whole Pantheon of Gods, I am depicted in The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. In this poem, I am described as a very ominous and all knowing messenger to the speaker. Very dark and uneasy, almost like a trickster. We ravens are constantly associated with death and the unknown; it honestly gets old.
In this film made by the mortals, I am seen as helping an evil sorceress to curse a beloved princess. Again, I am shown to be an evil character, menacing and possessing the qualities of a trickster. Not that far off from my true qualities, now is it?
Most recently, I was included in the book and television series, widely popular among the mortals, Game of Thrones. In this, I come to a character in a dream, delivering an ominous and direct warning of death and destruction. It seems all to common that I am affiliated with being a messenger of death among the mortals, which is very ironic as I brought the sun to their race! I am under appreciated around here.
